Define Knot My Child:When a knot is tied, it signifies being restricted and limited. Nevertheless, my child will not be confined or hindered by such boundaries. We will triumph over obstacles and demolish any barriers that stand in our path.

De’Erica White Founder/President

As a single mother raising a Black son, I quickly saw how society can place unfair labels and limitations on our children before they’re even given a chance. Refusing to accept that narrative, I founded an organization dedicated to helping youth build confidence, discipline, and opportunity through education, mentorship, wellness, and financial literacy.

Originally named Knot My Son, the vision began as a personal mission to uplift my child and others like him. After the birth of my daughter, that mission naturally expanded—becoming Knot My Child—to reflect the belief that every child, regardless of gender, deserves to be seen, supported, and given the tools to thrive.

Our motto, “Limitations will not stop our motivation or hinder our destination,” embodies the resilience and determination that guide everything we do.

At Knot My Child, we’ve created a safe and nurturing space where young people can grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Through mentorship, community engagement, and opportunity, we empower children to rise above barriers and walk confidently toward their purpose.
